Application of human connectome to control an artificial hand made of soft elastomeric materials
The project is an introduction to extensive research on the integration of soft robotics systems with neuromorphic systems. This broad issue is analysed with a view to developing new solutions for training Spiking Neural Networks (SNN) that analyse data from sensors and control soft actuators. The specific context of the research is the potential application of the results in the task of controlling an artificial hand model. The research is being conducted in consultation with Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
